Amanda Hintz and Brady Fried medaled at the recent Junior Olympic Qualification events held in Minot the weekend of January 20 and 21. Amanda was the Silver medalist in the Women’s Air Rifle and Smallbore Rifle events. Brady was the Gold medalist in Men’s Air Rifle and Silver in Men’s Smallbore Rifle. Brady will receive an automatic invite to the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships for his efforts in the Air Rifle event. Amanda, although she fired an impressive score in air rifle, will have to wait and see if she gets an invitation. Depending on scores fired at Junior Olympic qualifier events held nationwide, Amanda and Brady may also get invitations for the smallbore rifle event. The National Junior Olympic Shooting Championship is an annual event sponsored by USA Shooting – the United States Olympic governing body for the shooting sports. The national championship event is fired at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
